We are a fabrication company that services Sydney’s northern beaches and the Central coast. We offer a dedicated and personalised steel service no matter how small or big the job may be.

How We Deliver Results

To get the process started you can either email drawings through or give us a call and we can discuss the job required,

  • We offer a site visit and/or meeting to get a better understanding of your job.
  • After we are both satisfied we can go about putting together a quote.
  • You decide to go ahead with the quote we can organise doing a site measure.
  • When the site measure is complete depending on the type of job, we may need to send the measurements along with the engineers drawings to a draftsman to draw up fabrication drawings.
  • Ordering of steel is done once we have approved fabrication drawings.
  • When fabrication is complete we can organise the finish required.
  • Delivery can be arranged the same day as installation

Depending on what your job requires we can offer just supply of steel or just installation or any other combination needed.

How We Solve Your Problem

At Hardy Steel Fabrications we pride ourselves on having excellent problem solving skills. We have had a lot of involvement in challenging site situations where for example tight access or steel erection is quite troublesome. Our custom equipment has been made to allow us to carry out these jobs with ease.

Our expert team has many years’ experience on site and in the factory so we have both areas covered with knowledge and know how.

Bio of a Job

Cunningham Building Solutions contracted Hardy Steel Fabrications to carry out the supply and installation of the structural and architectural steel on their job at Ocean Avenue Manly.

We commenced the job by doing a site measure which is done in conjunction with the structural and architectural drawings to determine the location of each member. This Visit gives a good insight into how we will carry out the installation prior the arrival of steel on site.

Fabrication required the welding of reo bars every 450 centres to the inside face of all 310UB due to concrete being poured inside. Cuts were minimised on site by already cutting mitres In the factory and using pre-cut stock lengths we were able to minimise fabrication time.

Due to the close proximity to the ocean coupled with the majority of the steel being exposed. Galvanising was required for 30 metres of 310ub & 11 metres of 200ub.There was a further 9 metres of 200ub which only needed priming due to being used internally.

The installation involved lifting each individual piece into place and site welding once in situ. When all the welding is complete the welds are dressed back flush giving a non-visible join. We re-instated the galvanising finish by applying an epoxy paint.

We were proud and most importantly our client was very satisfied with the end result.

About Luke Hardy

In 2015 Luke started Hardy Steel Fabrications after working for various companies as an employee & contractor on the Northern Beaches. He completed his apprenticeship using a broad range of materials and found that structural steel and general fabrication of mild steel the choice of work he would like to specialise in. Luke prides himself with a hands on approach from start to finish, passionate, meticulous with high attention for efficiently to ensure the end result is the right for the client.
